Frank Gigler, Ph.D., is Professor and Honeywell Chair of Accounting at the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management. His research is primarily in the area of financial disclosure theory and has been published in journals such as Journal of Accounting and Economics, Journal of Accounting Research, and The Accounting Review. He serves on the Editorial Boards of Journal of Accounting Research and The Accounting Review. Professor Gigler has consulted on various financial accounting and reporting issues, especially as related to the use of derivative instruments and matters of business combination.
